I was looking at the competition and found the Cantabile ks-100 which is also sold as Millennium ks3000 and a few other fake brands.
They are all made in the same factory in China, just like 95% of everything else.
I wanted to find out if it was equally sturdy as the original Ultimate, and looked at some yt videos, but none of those were unbiased.
Then I looked at the 1 star comments on this site to see what was their complaint, but I got the impression these were paid agents hired by the competition.
So I decided to give it a go. I have 30 days to send it back.
Well, I did already two gigs with it, and I'm very happy with it.
Honest review.
Is it sturdy?
Yes it's very stable, if you don't forget to lower the fourth leg on the front all the way to the ground. Ultimate has the same fourth leg.
Is it equally strong as the ultimate?
No, definitely not.
The square steel tubes on the bottom are much thinner than on the ultimate.
The bars that the keyboard rests on are also thinner than on the ultimate.
In my opinion, if you have really heavy keyboards, do not buy this. Go for the ultimate.
My advice. Stay 10kg under the max per keyboard, and this thing is just fine.
Features.
What is definitely better than ultimate is the folding arms and the lowering and lifting. It's effortless.
With ultimate you store the arms in the top part.
Annoying is that the folding arms fold out too easy when carrying. Should have a spring loaded lock mechanism.
But I bought it with the carrying bag, so it's no problem then.
Resuming.
This stand is much better than I expected, but it's definitely not in the same league as the ultimate when it comes to the weight it can hold.
